This week I read Dairy of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. It says things are starting to turn around for Rodrick, too.He told his mom he got a promotion at work, so of course that meant that Greg and his family had to pile into the car to go show him their support. On page 42 George said, "I'm not sure if I'D call Roderick new position a PROMOTION thought."
I don't understand- why do they have to go support Roderick at work. I don't understand why he would need their support because he is only working at an ice cream shop. I don't think I would need my whole family to come support me at work.

This week i read Diary of a Wimpy kid by Jeff Kinney. It talks about. So mom helped roderick go thought the help wanted section of the newspaper to find him a job that does't require any skills or experience. On page 30 it said They finally found an ad for a restaurant that's about fifteen minutes from our house. I went to the Old -timey ice cream parlor for Rowley's last birthday party, and that experience may have PERMANENTLY ruined ice cream for me .
I don't understand why Greg said that Rowley ruined his ice cream. This week the book i read was Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. It said grown-up are always about the ''good old days'' and how things were so much better when they were kids. Mom's always saying that when SHE was younger, it was great because everybody in town knew every else and it was like one giant family. Greg isn't all much about his family. He likes to be on technology alot. Greg likes alot of privacy.
i don't understand- why doe's he want to be alone an play on technology all day long and in the dark. This week I read Who Was Blackbeard by James Buckley. The book was set in 1717 Philadelphia. At this time, Philadelphia was one of the largest cities in the American colonies, and it was owned by Great Britain. Philadelphia was on the Delaware River and its port welcomed ships from Europe. However, in the fall, many of those ships didn't make it to their port. "The few that did told tales that shocked and frightened the English colonists in and around Philadelphia." pg. 2 Pirate ships were creeping near by.
I don't understand why the pirate ships chose to sail near Philadelphia. The more I think about it I feel that the pirates may have gone there because the ships had so many good on them. Maybe the pirates wanted to steal all of those items. I don't think it was right for the pirates to take things that weren't theirs. |
