This week I read more from Jarrett J. Krosoczka's graphic novel, Jedi Academy: A New Class . I read that Victor, one of the main characters, was accepting into Jedi Academy. Jedi Academy is a place where Victor will learn how to be a Jedi, a person who goes out into the galaxy to defend against Dark Vador, and save the world. Victor started to use the journal that he received from his father. This journal had great meaning because his father passed away. Victor chose to name the journal Hexman. In his journal he wrote, "I miss dad, even though I never really knew him." pg. 10 Victor sailed away to Jedi Academy with his mom and sister.
When I started reading this, I thought Victor had a mom and dad. I had no idea that his father passed away. I would be very upset if I didn't have my dad, and I was starting a whole new adventure. I think it was important that Victor received his father's journal because he can reflect back on his experiences. In a way, it's like he is carrying a piece of his father with him. It's like a piece of a puzzle that has gone missing; the puzzle can never be completed because he does not have his dad.

This week I read Dog Man by- Dav Pilkey. The quote I picked was,' 'when dog man got the fish and chief was so happy but then when chief left he slammed the door and all his brain dot spilled in to the fish bowl the fish came so powerful he can move stuff with his brain''. In this chapter, Dog Man went to get fish because everyone agreed that a fish would be the best gift for the Chief. When they gave him his gift, he was so happy that he couldn't say anything; the fish was a good idea. At the end of the chapter, Chief went back to his room to put his new fish on his dresser . Unfortunately, his brain dots (which make you smarter) were there as well and fell inside the fish bowl. As a result, the fish became powerful, and he was able to move things with his brain- telekinesis.
I am confused with the situation regarding the brain dots. I wonder how many brain dots he actually had to gain the power of telekinesis. I am confused with the idea of brain dots and how they actually work. While I was reading, I could picture the brain dots going into the fish and what the fish looked like afterwards. Even though there were illustrations, in my mind I picture the fish as having a brain that was 10 times the size of my hand. I bet he looked funny with a huge head and little body. Tis week i reared dog man the quote is "dog man the dinosaur is made out of bones so dog man kept licking the dinosaur until he gave up.
This week i read dog man by dav pilkey the quote was. ''with my amazing telekinetic mind powers all matters is under my control''. i don't understand how he got that power in that one day and if he was made out of paper and how did he become a villain?
This week i read dog man unleashed and the quote i picked was ''then pet store people did not like dog man cuz he was a total pain''. how come the people at the pet store yelled at dog man if he was try to get a fish for the chief birthday
This week I read Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck by Jeff Kinney. In this chapter Greg and Manny found a Magic 8 Ball. They were asking questions and shaking the Magic 8 Ball to see the answer. They would ask things like: Did I get an A on my test? The quote I picked was, "the magic 8 ball is not real" Greg said this because he didn't think he could be that lucky. Greg went by Manny's house to show him and see whether or not it was real.
What if you believed in the magic 8 ball would you buy it? I wouldn't believe in it because it is a toy. I don't think it is real because it is just a plastic ball with a water and a triangle that moves around inside. I don't think it can answer my questions with the truth. This week I read Hard Luck by Jeff Kinney. These kids were talking about new shoes called Air Fives. These shoes let you jump really high up. Greg got a pair of Air Fives and decided to test them out. He jumped and went on a man's lawn. Unfortunately, Greg was attacked by the man's dog. Due to this incident, Greg's shoes were ruined. After his shoes were ruined, he grabbed them and brought them back home. Later, he went for a walk and ended up near the woods. Again, Greg was in a bad situation. There was a gang of tough kids in the woods, and they wanted to take the ruined shoes from Greg.
How come the kids wanted shoes if they were ruined? Do they know someone that can fix them? I don't understand why someone would want shoes that are broken, ripped, and probably covered with dog slobber. That sounds disgusting. I wonder why they made those shoes. I'm curious to see if anyone would actually invent something like this. I think it could be fun to be able to jump like you're on a trampoline. This week I read diary of wimpy kid hard luck by Jeff kinney the quote i pick is" sersious athlete" This reminds me of when the NBA players with there awsome pairs of snakers when they play. Sports is about dedication and to always try your best treat your team like family . Kids looks upto football, basketball and so many other sport teams as idols and want to be like them. Not realizeing that alot comes along with that from media alot of bosses and so much more . So would rather just sick back and play for fun and learn all i can. Sports help kids in so many ways from following directions, watching what they eat, sportsmanship and to have fun.
This week I read, Dairy of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck written by Jeff Kinney. This chapter talks about the five second rule. It explains that if something falls on the floor you can still eat it before five seconds are up. On pg. 24 it says, "A new twist someone came up with recently is that you can grab a piece of food off the floor even if YOU'RE not the one who DROPPED it." This idea turned out poorly for Freddie Harlahan because he ate a piece of really old ham from the floor.
