This week I read Hard Luck by Jeff Kinney. These kids were talking about new shoes called Air Fives. These shoes let you jump really high up. Greg got a pair of Air Fives and decided to test them out. He jumped and went on a man's lawn. Unfortunately, Greg was attacked by the man's dog. Due to this incident, Greg's shoes were ruined. After his shoes were ruined, he grabbed them and brought them back home. Later, he went for a walk and ended up near the woods. Again, Greg was in a bad situation. There was a gang of tough kids in the woods, and they wanted to take the ruined shoes from Greg.
How come the kids wanted shoes if they were ruined? Do they know someone that can fix them? I don't understand why someone would want shoes that are broken, ripped, and probably covered with dog slobber. That sounds disgusting. I wonder why they made those shoes. I'm curious to see if anyone would actually invent something like this. I think it could be fun to be able to jump like you're on a trampoline.
